August 5th Fishing Report from Lake Sakakawea

The bite is picking up again on the west end of Lake Sakakawea, and we’re seeing more consistency as we head into the heart of summer! Fishing Conditions on Lake Sakakawea Fish location is still a bit day-to-day. Some mornings we’re finding walleyes shallow in 8–12 feet, especially early or with some wind. Other days, they’ve slid out deeper into 18–25 feet. The key is to trust your electronics. Don’t be afraid to cover water. If you’re marking fish, stick with it. Change up
